Countryside Landscapes, “Grand Sites,” Fitness, and Well-being

Everything you need to make your stay unforgettable!

At an altitude of 373 metres, the small village of Escoubès Pouts is set back from the Lourdes-Bagnères de Bigorre road. Its washhouse is perfectly preserved on the Echez stream, and its location is ideal if you are curious, contemplative, or sporty.

You will love walks around the village, mushroom picking, or chestnut gathering in season. If you wish, you can observe the farm work, meet Yves' herd of cows that are grazing freely in the Estaubé circus, or discover the black pigs of Bigorre a little higher up on the slopes.

Close to us, there are true Pyrenean treasures to be discovered in a day or as part of a short or medium stay.

Gavarnie, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its cirque, the Pont d'Espagne and Lake Gaube in Cauterets, the Tourmalet pass and the Pic du Midi, both labelled along with Lourdes as "Great Sites," with the latter offering the following visits:

  •   The Boly Mill (Bernadette's birthplace)
  •  The Cachot (former prison) where Bernadette's family settled in 1857
  •  The Little Lourdes Museum, where the authentic history of the birth of Lourdes is depicted through a miniature reconstruction
  •  The Wax Museum: scene after scene… experience the history of Christ and Bernadette
  •  The Fortified Castle and its Pyrenean Museum of Art and Tradition. 360° views of the city, the Sanctuary, and the Pyrenees.
  •  The Pic du Jer with its funicular and superb panoramic views of the Pyrenean peaks
  •  On the outskirts of Lourdes, the Natura 2000 classified lake and its golf course, along with Bartrès, the village where Bernadette used to watch her sheep, and Lestelle Betharram and its beautiful fourteenth century chapel.

In Bagnères de Bigorre, the Médous caves, and in the direction of Pau, the Bétharram caves are renowned for their remarkable excavations.

Passionate about Pyrenean wildlife? You are sure to love the Animal Park of the Pyrenees in Argeles Gazost or the Donjon des Aigles in Beaucens.

Staying with us can also inspire you to engage in some sporting activities: : Rafting down the Gaves river to Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre, a renowned spot for caving, or paragliding from Cabaliros in Val d'Azun. Don't forget further thrilling activities like the Mountain Luge or Devalkart descent at the Hautacam resort.

After a hike, you will adore the benefits of water. The Bagnères thermal baths with Aquensis or the Argleles-Gazost thermal baths offer jacuzzis, saunas, hammams, massages, and other activities to help you relax. With their swirling and soothing waters, enjoy a wide range of personalised treatments. Recovery and tranquillity guaranteed!
